Interstate Reinforcing, Inc.

Interstate Reinforcing Inc. was formed in 1997 by Robbie and Darlene Abrantes. At that time, Rob had 15 years of experience in the installation of concrete and rebar.

Interstate’s primary focus has been on steel reinforcement installation. More recently, Interstate has expanded its commitment to concrete formwork and placement.  Our range of projects has been very diverse and has included: bridge work, heavy/highway, schools, universities, military, industrial, commercial, retail, waste water treatment facilities, etc. Notable projects include the Destiny USA expansion in Syracuse, the Missisquoi Bay Bridge across Lake Champlain, the Batchellerville Bridge over Great Sacandaga Lake and the NYS Route 17/I-81 Interchange Reconstruction in Binghamton.

Throughout the years, Interstate has experienced consistent and continued growth. We have earned an industry wide reputation for our safe work practices and efficient work production. Our foremen have 30-hour OSHA Training Certification and our field members have completed mandatory 10-hour OSHA Construction Safety programs.

Interstate has established an excellent credit rating.  As a bondable contractor, we can perform on a wide range and size of projects. 

In addition to working safely and offering competitive prices, Interstate’s strengths lie in the personal attention that we pay to all projects and in the timely manner with which we complete our work. Our goal is not to be the biggest contractor, rather we strive to be the best contractor at satisfying our clients' needs.
